My original question is: what a good English-speaking Chinese can do in the world?I know someone might say that you can find a decent job with good pay if you can speak good English as a Chinese. However what about let us starting this topic based on someone who have had a good job in foreign country? This person is not looking for a job anymore, either does he or she looks for moving abroad. If so what else he or she can do?Any idea appreciates! Thank you!I know there might be not too much of this case. Many people may say that is just what I want and if I get to that point then I just keep it. However if you achieve that stage only at your 30's, you still want to have a clear goal for your future life. You don't want to wait for retirement in your early career.One answer might be to achieve high level in the same working area. However as a Chinese to be competitive in foreign company, he & she needs to work very hard in order to stand out among many local fellows. Many things is waiting for you to conquer, such as language barrel, culture difference, mentality. If you are not growing up in foreign country, not matter how hard you try, your language can not to be as good as local people. If you have most of your education in China, not matter how much effort you put, it will be hard for you to be as creative as American colleagues since they have very different mentality from you, which is hard to change by only working hard.I wish there is someone who has interest on this topic...like two sides of a coin, learning English give me both good and bad things.the good thing is I can gallop into the spiritual world more freely by watching moive,reading English book or chatting with international friends.the bad one is I can't find the sense of belonging when staying with most other Chinese fellow. I'm no long belong to the single oriental or western culture.I feel more lonely.Thank you for sharing your thoughts,hans288455!Actually I also struggled very similarly in a certain point as you do. What I tried to do then is to ask myself some questions instead of staying what should they do & what I should do, more deeply such as why they do this & why I do this. I believe most of people do something with good reasons in their mind. He is kind of wealthy with lots of ambition. Unfortunately he was not aware of any business opportunities by far. He offered payment to establish a company for me then he can co-own with me on that company. His plan is to own OEM business from international customer and manufacture their products. I thanked him on his trust but I could not take this deal. Recently there are already tens of thousands of factories who is doing the same type of business. I can feel for now most of them are struggling to survive due to fierce competition. Moreover, to do this it will be similar as working in a company abroad.
